#105. Learn ten new words AND actually use them

So today wasn’t a banal day for Alicia and I, but a great one. Alicia and I learned 10 new words, watched a foreign film, finished our bird feeders, did origami, and much more.

So, the ten words we learned included:

Nudiustertian–the day before yesterday

Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia–fear of long words

Flippant–laughing when you should have waited

Banal–boring, unoriginal

Pomposity–an excessive sense of self –importance, usually displayed through exaggerated seriousness or stateliness in speech and manner

Moronic—A person who is notably stupid or lacking in good judgment

Ululate—to howl, as a dog or a wolf; hoot, as an owl –To utter howling sounds, as in shrill, wordless lamentation; wail

Hallux—big toe

Stymie—A situation or problem presenting such difficulties as to discourage or defeat any attempt to deal with or resolve it

Mondegreen—a word or phrase resulting from a misinterpretation of a word or phrase that has been heard

So..there are our words. We’ll probably end up using those words later on.

That’s it. Nothing more to say except…

Much love and summer fun..

Molly and Alicia!
