7. Make fun cupcakes! and 14. Make puppy chow

Hello dear readers!

Wow, long time no write for me. Alicia wanted to do the first couple posts this year and well, now it’s my turn! Woot, woot!

So, out of curiosity, what were you doing one year ago today, April 26th? Well, Alicia and I were little freshies who made a batch of really cute cupcakes for a Spanish project and now, one year later, we are sophomores making cupcakes and puppy chow, thus completing two list items for summer 2013! AHHHH!

Before I share the fantastic tale of this anniversary celebration, I first want to make a shout out to our fantastic friends who have agreed to help out with our list for this summer! A special thanks to Alex, Samantha, Julia,  and Alex (remember, the one who was a lemur with us and the girls who went to the tea party? (https://81dayswontlastforever.wordpress.com/2012/07/11/20-have-a-picnic-47-go-to-the-zoo-and-102-face-paint/    https://81dayswontlastforever.wordpress.com/2012/08/12/party-time/)  who  have helped out last summer and new to our blog, but equally as excited, Kaylyn and Charlie! There are many more faces too this summer, so look out! The more the merrier, right?

Anyway, so today Alicia and I made cupcakes. We made yellow cake cupcakes with chocolate frosting (my personal favorite) and to make them fun cupcakes! we make them in an ice cream cone.

Here are the ingredients (minus the extras from the cake mix) you need!

So, I was in charge of mixing and Alicia was the very important cone filler-upper.

Me being a very enthusiastic about mixing.

And while these cupcakes were baking, we make puppy chow. I forgot that we added make puppy chow to the list so Alicia and I were very excited; Alicia jumped up and down.

By the time we were finished with the puppy chow, the cupcakes were done!

Our beautiful cupcakes!

Alicia’s favorite picture from the day. It’s the cupcake in the cone after it’s cut in half and me eating it in the background.

Our finished product!

The cupcakes were intriguing. I mean, the cake part was delicious (because it’s cake, duh) but the cones got a little soggy. They are good, but not fantastic. The puppy chow was delicious, but come on, cereal, chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar, of course it’s good!

Well, that’s all I really have to say other than…

Much love and summer fun!
